Every day patients are admitted to psychiatric wards from general hospitals, police stations, off the streets, from all kinds of unexpected situations.
The NHS does an amazing job at providing what they can with the tiny budget available. However, this sadly doesn’t amount to much. Many patients are unable to organise retrieving personal belongings and are without friends or family to bring them things.
It’s here The Comfort Project steps in. For each ward in the South West London area, it’s our vision to provide Comfort Boxes to those who have nothing. Each box will contain spare clothes, toiletries and comfort items – things to make life a little more comfortable.
Although we will be starting in the SW London area, we hope to expand out to help all those that we can. Check out how you can help.
